MMA is predicted to go along the way of boxing and take its place among the top combat sports of American.

Its popularity is growing faster as it has an edge that meets the demands of our over-exposed youth. This sport is regulated and properly controlled to meet the safety standards of each state.

This will lead to its growth. In the next 16 years UFC may become a part of Olympic sports. All professional sports will take the path of mixed martial arts. In boxing the fighters come out of the small local gyms, compete in small venues and get picked up by promoters and trained by trainers and managers.

But this is not the case in Mixed Martial Arts. One has to really work hard for learning Mixed Martial Arts and fight in the ring. Amateur and Collegiate wrestling will lead to the future of Mixed Martial Arts. This is the real fact. Most of the MMA champions have wrestling background. It takes few years to develop good striking skills.

The wrestlers from the elite college are aware of the work ethic, body awareness, and attitude and have good grappling and scrambling skills. These wrestlers will have to seek out higher levels of competition in order to improve. They need to be promoted by the mixed martial arts promoters. The days to have small local mixed martial arts club has gone back.

MMA training is equivalent to teaching cardio kick boxing or aerobics. But this local training will not help. Training of wrestling, judo or BJJ is necessary to compete. In the near future Mixed Martial Arts training will be like professional football or basketball classes. MMA will be a Major sports entertainment in near future.
